SUDC; Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood is defined as the unexplained death of a child between the ages of twelve months to eighteen years old. The sudden death of an otherwise healthy child is categorized as such by a medical examiner after an autopsy, examination of the death scene, and review of the clinical history.
